Ask "how much do betting affiliates earn?" and you will get two answers: screenshots of $40,000 dashboards from people selling courses, and forum posts from people who quit after earning $60. Both are real, and neither is typical. This guide gives you the actual arithmetic — how RevShare and CPA income is calculated, what the programs in our directory really pay, and the realistic monthly ranges at each stage — so you can decide whether the work is worth it for your audience.
No income is guaranteed in this business. Player behaviour, program terms and traffic sources change, and everything below is an estimate built from published program terms and reported affiliate experience.
How much do betting affiliates earn per month? The honest distribution
Industry surveys and affiliate-network data paint a consistent picture:
- Roughly 40% of betting affiliates earn under $1,000 a month, and a large share of newcomers stop within 6–12 months.
- The middle of the market — affiliates with one established channel — earns low four figures, typically $1,000–5,000 a month.
- Top affiliates earn $10,000–50,000+ a month, and a small number of affiliate companies earn millions. Almost all of them took 18–36 months to get there and use more than one traffic source.
The distribution is skewed because income compounds: RevShare from players you referred a year ago is still paying, so an affiliate in year three is being paid by three years of players while an affiliate in month two is being paid by two months of players.
How the money is actually calculated
Betting affiliate programs pay in three ways. If the models are new to you, RevShare vs CPA vs Hybrid covers them in depth; here is what matters for earnings.
RevShare: a percentage of the operator's profit
You earn a percentage — 25–45% for most of the programs we track — of the net gaming revenue (NGR) your players generate. NGR is what the bookmaker keeps after paying winnings and, usually, after deducting bonuses, payment fees and sometimes taxes. It is not turnover.
A worked example with realistic numbers for a sports-betting audience in Nigeria or Kenya:
| Input | Value |
|---|---|
| Active players in the month | 100 |
| Average deposits per player | $40 |
| Bookmaker margin on that action (NGR ÷ deposits) | ~25% |
| NGR generated | $1,000 |
| Your RevShare rate | 30% |
| Your commission | $300 |
The same 100 players in a casino-heavy audience with $80 average deposits would produce roughly $2,000 of NGR and $600 of commission at 30%. The month after, those players keep generating NGR whether or not you send new traffic — that is the compounding effect. The month your players win, NGR is negative, and at most programs the negative amount is carried forward (Negative Carryover Explained shows how much that costs).
CPA: a fixed fee per depositing player
CPA pays once per first-time depositor who meets the program's conditions (usually a minimum deposit and some betting activity). Reported CPA rates among our programs range from about $17 per FTD in Bangladesh at Melbet, through $20–50 for most African and South Asian GEOs, to $150–250 for stronger markets at 1xPartners and 1win. 100 depositors at $30 CPA is $3,000 — once, with no tail.
Hybrid: both, at reduced rates
A smaller CPA (say $15) plus a lower RevShare (say 20%). Usually offered after a RevShare test period. Hybrid smooths cash flow for affiliates who buy traffic but still want the long-term tail.
Realistic earnings by stage
The table below combines published program rates with reported affiliate results in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Ranges are wide on purpose.
| Stage | Typical setup | New depositors / month | Active RevShare players | Realistic monthly income |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Month 1–3 | One Telegram channel or new site, 1–2 programs | 5–20 | 10–40 | $50–500 |
| Month 4–12 | Established channel, negotiated 30%+ rate, first CPA/Hybrid tests | 20–80 | 60–250 | $500–3,000 |
| Year 2 | Two or more traffic sources, 3–6 programs, sub-affiliates | 80–300 | 300–1,000 | $3,000–10,000 |
| Year 3+ | SEO site plus communities, team, paid traffic on data | 300+ | 1,000+ | $10,000–50,000+ |
Three observations from this table:
- The first year is mostly building the player base, not earning from it. Affiliates who expect month-one income equal to their effort usually quit in month four.
- The jump from stage two to three comes from adding a traffic source, not from squeezing the first one. Our guides on Telegram, YouTube and working without a website each describe one source.
- Negotiated rates matter more later. Moving from 25% to 40% RevShare is a 60% raise on the whole player base, which at stage three is thousands of dollars a month.
What the programs in our directory actually pay
Program choice sets the ceiling. A few reference points from the terms we track (full details on each program page):
| Program | RevShare range | CPA (reported) | Min payout | Payout | Carryover |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mostbet Partners | 30–60% | up to ~$220 by GEO | $50 | Weekly | No |
| 1win Partners | 50–60% | up to $250 by GEO | $70 | Weekly | Unclear |
| 1xPartners | 15–40% | $150–250 (strong GEOs) | $30 | Weekly | Yes |
| Melbet Affiliates | 25–40% | ~$17–80 by GEO | $30 | Weekly | Yes |
| 4rabet Partners | 30–50% | $20–100 by GEO | $100 | Weekly (NET7) | No |
| PIN-UP Partners | 30–50% | $15–200 by GEO | $50 | CPA twice monthly | Yes |
Two programs at "40% RevShare" can pay very differently depending on how NGR is defined and whether negative months carry over — RevShare Tiers Decoded walks through that maths. The best betting affiliate programs roundup ranks all 26 on these terms.
Worked examples: three affiliates, three outcomes
Aisha — Telegram tipster, Lagos, month 6. 4,000 subscribers, promotes 1xBet and Melbet. 25 new depositors a month, about 120 active players, average NGR per active player $9 (small stakes, sports only). NGR ≈ $1,080. At 25% on Melbet and a reported 20% on 1xPartners, blended ≈ 23% → about $250 a month, paid weekly when she clears the four-new-users rule. Her lever: negotiate to 30%+ and add a YouTube shorts channel.
Ravi — cricket SEO site, India, year 2. 30,000 monthly visitors during the IPL, 90 new depositors a month across 4rabet, PIN-UP and 1win, 600 active players, NGR per active player $14 (higher stakes, some casino). NGR ≈ $8,400. Blended RevShare 35% → about $2,900 a month, plus CPA tests at $40 per FTD on paid traffic. His lever: Hybrid deals and a Telegram community to retain the seasonal audience.
Kevin — Kenyan network, year 3. Two SEO sites, a WhatsApp/Telegram network, three sub-affiliates. 250 new depositors a month, 1,800 active players, average NGR $11. NGR ≈ $19,800. Blended RevShare 38% ≈ $7,500, plus roughly $400 from sub-affiliate overrides, paid in USDT and converted to shillings → about $8,000 a month. His risk: a single winning month at a negative-carryover program can zero one of his three income lines.
You can rebuild each scenario with your own inputs in the earnings estimator.
The factors that move income most
- Player value in your GEO. Average NGR per active player ranges from around $5 in small-stakes sports markets to $30+ in casino-heavy audiences. This single number scales everything.
- Retention. RevShare compounds only if players stay. Communities with daily tips and responsible-play norms keep players for months; spam channels lose them in weeks.
- Your rate. Every program in our directory pays its best rates to affiliates who ask with data. Silence keeps you at the floor.
- Program reliability. A 60% rate at a program that holds your money for 90 days is worth less than 35% paid every Tuesday. Read the cons on each program page before you send traffic.
- Costs. Content affiliates have almost none; paid-traffic affiliates spend 40–70% of revenue on ads. "Earnings" screenshots rarely show ad spend.
- Compliance. Fraud flags, bonus abuse in your audience and prohibited traffic sources lead to withheld commissions. 10 Mistakes New Betting Affiliates Make lists the ones that cost real money.
The costs nobody counts
Income screenshots show revenue. Real earnings are what is left after:
- Time. A Telegram channel with daily tips is 1–2 hours a day; an SEO site is hundreds of hours before it ranks. At stage one, many affiliates earn less per hour than a part-time job — the payoff is the compounding later.
- Tools. Hosting, a domain, a link tracker or UTM discipline, design tools, maybe a VPN and a second phone for testing apps. Small, but not zero.
- Ad spend. Paid-traffic affiliates routinely spend 40–70% of revenue on ads, and a CPA deal that "pays $50" can lose money at a $60 cost per depositor. Content affiliates avoid this line entirely.
- Payment costs. Bank wire fees, e-wallet withdrawal fees, exchange spreads on USDT conversions of 1–3%, and mobile-money charges. Choosing the right payout route (Betting Affiliate Payments Explained) is worth a few percent of income every month.
- Taxes. Affiliate commissions are taxable income in every market we cover, and several tax crypto conversions separately. Budget for it from the first payout rather than discovering it at year end.
- Variance. A negative month at a program with negative carryover is a cost too — sometimes the largest one. It does not appear in any screenshot.
A useful habit is a one-page monthly ledger: commissions received per program, fees paid, ad spend, hours worked. Affiliates who keep one negotiate better, choose programs better and quit less often, because they can see the trend instead of the noise.
What this means if you are starting now
- Budget six months before income covers meaningful time. Treat month one to three as audience building.
- Start on RevShare with two programs that convert in your GEO and have terms you understand (low minimum payout, weekly payments, carryover policy you accept).
- Track everything with tagged links (UTM builder) so you can negotiate from data at month two.
- Add a second traffic source before you try to "optimise" the first one to death.
- Expect a losing month at some point and choose at least one program without negative carryover, such as Mostbet Partners or Stake Partners, so it never zeros your whole income.
Betting affiliation pays well for a minority because the majority stop before compounding starts. The numbers above are not a promise — they are the arithmetic. Run it for your audience before you commit.
